Les théâtres contemporains de l’Inde


Depuis quelques années, avec l’ouverture au monde et la montée en puissance de l’Inde, on assiste dans ce pays à un regain de dynamisme et de créativité du théâtre contemporain. De nouveaux groupes et créateurs apparaissent. Les festivals de théâtre se multiplient. Les jeunes auteurs témoignent de leur époque en s’intéressant aux mutations sociales d’une Inde urbaine et globalisée, au terrorisme et aux violences politiques des régions frontalières en conflit, à la défense de l’environnement, aux droits des femmes, à la sexualité, aux anciens tabous qui tombent peu à peu.

2008: Visiting faculty in the US

In 2008 Annette Leday is a guest artist, visiting faculty at the Department of Dance Herberger College of the Arts Arizona State University Phoenix. She gives five weeks workshops and lectures. Contacts continued on line with PHD students.
